“You Are A Tourist”, first single to be taken from up and coming album “Codes and Keys” sees Death Cab take on an even more relaxed approach to their music. This single appears to show how the band has matured together over a time which sums up to eight studio albums!
Now I have always been the type to slip in and out of love with Death Cab For Cutie, but this single realizes why so many people are a fan of these guys. The lyrics, the guitar, the drums, just everything is pieced together so beautifully, it shows just what raw talent these guys have. The delicate little riff they deliver throughout the song is definitely one that will be stuck in my head for a long time to come. On a personal level this single did not immediately jump out at me, but after a couple more listens I found myself singing along to each word, which to me has evidently been written with a hell of a lot of passion. Death Cab once again keeps it real for the music scene and continues to do what they do best; deliver brilliant, raw, passionate music to a devoted fan base.
