Shrouded in secrecy, hidden behind an alias and disguised by a beard, Chet Faker enjoys the mystery.
Hailing from the tight-knit disco and house music scene in Melbourne, Australia and taking elements from an acoustic past, Chet Faker has carved out a unique style that fuses personal stories of love and loss with an electronica soul that reaches far beyond his homeland.
Chet quickly came to everyone’s attention when his cover of ‘No Diggity’ by Blackstreet hit #1 on the worldwide indie music aggregator, Hype Machine.
After posting more tracks online, Chess Club Records took notice and came on board to release the debut EP ‘Thinking in Textures’.
The EP is released on March 26th and the first track to be heard from the release is ‘Terms and Conditions’, a gorgeously penned track hard to categorise from this part jazz, part soul and part electronic artist.

He has already sold out shows in Melbourne and Sydney and is soon to support Toro y Moi and Washed Out for their shows in Australia. With a confirmed appearance at SXSW and the release of this EP it’s time for the rest of the UK to stand up and take notice of this unique new artist.
